The Assistant You Wanted is Finally Here: Meet the Completely Overhauled Scout
If you tried Scout in the past and felt it wasn't quite there yet, it is time to give it another shot. We have completely gutted and rebuilt Scout's engine with some serious under-the-hood upgrades, turning it into a highly intelligent assistant capable of handling your most complex, multi-part tasks with zero friction. Instead of getting stuck in endless back-and-forth questions, the new Scout intuitively anticipates your needs—instantly pulling the right customer data, drafting accurate estimates by default, and executing multi-step workflows in perfect order. It is radically faster, remarkably steady, and finally built to be the reliable, heavy-lifting partner you can actually trust to run your operations seamlessly.
Improvements
- Scout (your org assistant) has been reworked under the hood and tuned in recent updates so it feels faster, steadier, and easier to trust end to end.
- Scout is more capable than ever: it lines up the right steps for multi-part requests, assumes sensible defaults so you are not stuck in extra back-and-forth, and uses Run as the clear review point before changes go through—without asking for a second “go ahead” in chat when your intent is already obvious.
- Run all runs pending steps in order (including when one step has to finish before the next), with clear status while it works; streaming status uses short, readable phases that update smoothly instead of a single stuck “thinking” line.
- Estimates and money: new estimates start as drafts by default; Scout treats dollar amounts you state as real totals; it can add custom lines on estimates, job costs, and invoice lines in a consistent way, with View links where it helps.
- Customers and CRM: when you name someone, Scout looks them up first instead of asking “existing or new” up front; profile-style questions search by name (and use details you already gave) without an extra “how should I search?” step. View customer and View property links go to the right place in your org.
- Mid-answer follow-ups (after Scout fetches more context) skip redundant early work so answers land sooner; playbook alignment is tuned so informal questions still get focused, natural replies.
Bug fixes
- Run all is reliably available on multi-step proposals again.
- Add estimate line and similar steps complete cleanly after the change is saved (no generic error at the end).
